System reset as in disconnecting the battery? And yeah, used a decent diagnostics tool. Any chance you recall what the specific error code was on your Micra?

Yes, disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes can sometimes help, although it rarely fixes a defective ECU. The error code on my Micra pointed to a faulty main relay, which apparently is a common cause for ECU issues. Given your symptoms, and the fact that you already performed car diagnostics, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the ECU and replace the faulty component. The estimated repair cost was 120€.

Thanks for the insight. Turns out it was the main relay! Replaced it, cleared the code, and all's well. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Nissan Micra. Have you tried a system reset? Also, did you check the error code with a proper car diagnostics tool, not just a basic OBD2 reader?
