Porter uneven idling engine mount issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Hyundai Porter with a diesel engine is experiencing uneven idling, with error codes indicating a potential issue with the engine mount, although it appears visually intact. The problem might also be linked to the transmission mount, as vibrations from one can affect the other, causing errors. It is suggested to have both mounts professionally inspected to resolve the idling issue.

Good call on the transmission mount. If the error code specifically points to the engine mount, is it still worth digging into the transmission mount? Any insight there?

Mine pointed to the engine mount at first too, but the transmission mount was contributing to the problem. Since the engine and transmission are connected, vibrations in one can affect the other and cause errors. Get it checked by a professional. I paid 95€ for this to be fixed.

Okay, I'll take it to the workshop next week to inspect both the engine and transmission mounts. The engine mounts looked kinda worn. Thanks for the advice!

I had similar uneven idling issues in my Porter. Engine mounts are worth investigating. Did you check the transmission mount as well? The error memory can be vague.
