Power loss and judder in 2020 Peugeot 3008 - looking for advice and experience

Hi guys, I have a problem with my 2020 Peugeot 3008 diesel with just under 70,000 kilometers on the clock. The car has suddenly lost power, jerks when accelerating, hisses loudly and vibrates when idling. The check engine light is also on. I suspect it could be a leak in the intake system. Have any of you ever had similar symptoms and what did the mechanic say? I wasn't treated so well last time and would therefore like to gather your opinions and experiences. Many thanks in advance!

Since the issue started after replacing the throttle body, it's worth double-checking the installation to ensure everything is properly sealed and connected. Inspect the throttle body gasket for any signs of damage or improper seating. Additionally, verify that all electrical connections to the throttle body are secure and functioning correctly. If the problem continues, consider having the intake manifold and related components checked for any hidden leaks or issues. Keep us updated on your findings, and feel free to ask if you have more questions!

I went to another mechanic. The car has been with them for a week now, but they are checking everything thoroughly. They checked with a smoke machine for air leaks. They eliminated everything except the valve cover gasket, where it turned out there was a small oil leak and possibly 10 millibars of air, coming in through the breather valve or the map sensor. It is supposed to be ready for collection this week, so I will let you know what the main cause was.

It sounds like you're on the right track with the thorough inspection. The valve cover gasket and breather valve can indeed cause issues if they're not sealing properly. Hopefully, resolving these will fix the problem. Please keep us updated on the outcome, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance!
