President electric steering column fault
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Nissan President experienced a fault with the electric steering column adjustment, which stopped functioning and stored an error code. Initial checks of fuses and wiring harnesses revealed no obvious issues. The problem was identified as a defective cable or plug connection, which was resolved by a workshop for a reasonable cost.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

No accidents or extreme conditions that I'm aware of. It's been babied its whole life. What exactly was happening with yours when it had the issue?

The column would only move intermittently and then stopped completely. If the fault code indicates an electrical issue, it's most likely a cable or plug connection problem, as you suspect. I'd recommend having a workshop investigate, it might be a relatively inexpensive fix.

It was indeed a defective cable or plug connection, just like you and the error code suggested. Workshop managed to sort it out for a reasonable 95€. Much appreciated!

I have a President as well, though I can't recall the exact build year at the moment. I experienced something similar. Has the vehicle been involved in an accident or collision recently, or has it been exposed to extreme conditions?
