President Injection Nozzle Issue

I've got a 2005 Nissan President with a gasoline engine, and I'm experiencing issues that point to the injection nozzle. I'm getting rough starts, noticeably worse fuel consumption, and a definite reduction in engine power. Idling is uneven, and it's even stalled a couple of times when stopped. The mileage is only at 21023 km. I suspect a dirty injection valve. Anyone else run into something similar?

I had comparable symptoms on my old 2012 Opel Insignia, though it was a diesel. It presented much like a blocked artery, restricting the flow. Have you checked your emissions? If those are off, that's another indicator. Could be a clogged injector.

Emissions are definitely higher than usual. Was the injector replacement on your Insignia a straightforward job, or did it require specialized tools? Any tips before I dive in?

On the Insignia, accessing the injectors was quite involved; required removing a fair bit of the intake manifold. Given the complexity, and to ensure proper calibration after the replacement, I'd suggest consulting with a workshop. Proper fuel atomization is key to emissions and engine life.

Thanks for the info, it confirms my suspicions. I took it to a workshop as you suggested, and they confirmed the defective injection nozzle. The repair, including nozzle replacement and recalibration, cost 515€. Runs like new now!
