President throttle valve issue
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a 2007 Nissan President experiencing reduced engine power and an illuminated check engine light, suspected to be due to a defective throttle valve or related electronics. A similar issue was resolved by replacing a faulty throttle sensor, which was affecting air intake. The suggested solution was to have the vehicle scanned at a workshop, leading to the replacement of the throttle valve, resolving the problem.

Interesting. I was leaning towards the pedal module itself, but the air flow issue is a good point. Did your symptoms appear suddenly, or was it a gradual decline in performance?

It was pretty sudden, like a switch flipped. I'd advise getting it scanned at a workshop, though. Could save you a headache. Mine ended up being the throttle sensor itself. Replacement did the trick.

Thanks for the insight! I took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out it was indeed the throttle valve needing replacement. The repair cost me 265€. Your input was invaluable.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my President, though I'm driving an older model. Check your air flow – could be a faulty throttle sensor messing with the air intake. It's like trying to breathe through a clogged straw. Have you looked into that?
