Primastar Anti-Theft Alarm Issue

Hey! I had a similar problem with my Primastar. Was the alarm going off randomly, or just completely dead? I'm wondering if it's got something to do with the central locking system. Did you recently have any issues with power failure or perhaps changed the battery?

Yeah, that sounds like what happened to mine! My alarm was coded to activate optical locking (indicators), and somehow that messed everything up. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can probably diagnose it pretty quickly.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and it turned out you were spot on. The alarm was indeed coded to the indicators, and that caused the malfunction. Recoding the alarm control fixed it, cost me 45€!
