Primastar Check Engine Light and Power Loss

Hi, I have a 2022 Nissan Primastar with a gasoline engine. Lately, the check engine light has been coming on, and the engine power feels reduced. I've also noticed poor engine response, a whistling noise, and loud hissing when accelerating. Sometimes the engine even stalls at idle, and fuel consumption is definitely up. Mileage is at 23207 km. Could this be related to the boost pressure actuator?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Primastar. Check for a defective electrical bypass valve, also have the pressure sensor and turbo wastegate looked at. Could be a boost pressure problem linked to the turbocharger. I hope it helps!

Thanks for the quick reply. How did you confirm it was the electrical bypass valve? Did you also experience engine stalls? I'd like to know more before taking it to a workshop.

My mechanic ran some diagnostics and pinpointed it. Yes, I also had the stalling issue. Honestly, with those symptoms, it's best to get it checked professionally. Could save you money in the long run. If it's the same as mine it will likely cost around 250€
