Prisma Terminal 15 Ignition Error

My 2011 Chevrolet Prisma with a gasoline engine won't start. Diagnostics show a 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted' error. Battery connections seem solid, but I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone run into this before? The car only has 33944 km. Any help?

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Prisma. Same symptoms, engine wouldn't crank, and that error code. Did you check the fuses in the fuse box, specifically the ones related to the ignition and power supply? It could be a simple blown fuse. Also, have you wiggled the wiring harness around the starter solenoid? Sometimes a loose connection there can cause havoc.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a quick check of the fuses, but I wouldn't know which ones are related to the ignition and power supply specifically. Is there a diagram somewhere, or do you remember which fuse number it was? As for the wiring harness, I wouldn't even know where to find the starter solenoid! Any pointers?

Finding the right fuse can be a pain without a diagram. Your owner's manual should have a diagram of the fuse box. If not, a quick search online for "Chevrolet Prisma 2011 fuse box diagram" should turn something up. The starter solenoid is usually mounted on the starter motor itself. Given the 'Terminal 15' error, and your low mileage, I'd seriously consider taking it to a workshop, could be a deeper issue than a simple fuse and 95€ is not that much for peace of mind.

Thanks a ton for the advice! I tracked down a fuse box diagram online and one of the fuses was blown! Replaced it, and the car started right up. You saved me a trip to the mechanic. I ended up taking it to a workshop like you suggested, and the overall repair cost was 95€ just to be sure everything was OK. I really appreciate your help!
