Prius AC failure

I had a similar issue with my old 2012 Opel Insignia. It was a defect in individual valves in the air conditioning system. Did you notice any strange noises or changes in AC efficiency before it failed?

Valves, huh? What kind of noises should I have been listening for? I didn’t really notice anything unusual.

In my case, there was a faint hissing sound sometimes, almost like air escaping. It was subtle, and I didn't think much of it at the time. If you're not familiar with AC diagnostics, I'd recommend a workshop check.
