Prius Charge Air Temperature Sensor Issue

Has anyone experienced check engine light and power reduction in their 2022 Toyota Prius hybrid, along with a whistling/hissing sound on acceleration? Diagnostic shows a charge air temperature sensor error. Suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Mileage is 135666 km.

Hey, I had something similar with my Prius (don't remember the exact year). Check engine light and a weird hissing sound. Was your fuel consumption higher than usual too?

I haven't monitored fuel consumption specifically. Can you elaborate on your experience? Did the hissing sound correlate with the charge air temperature sensor error, and what steps did you take to fix it?

Yeah, the hissing was definitely there with the check engine light. I'm no expert, but it sounds like you've already figured out it's the sensor. Honestly, I just took mine to a shop. Didn't want to mess anything up further.

Thanks for the confirmation. Given your experience, I'll schedule a workshop appointment to address the charge air temperature sensor issue. It turned out to be a defective connector, as suspected. The repair cost was 95€.
