Prius climate control panel failure

I have a 2014 Toyota Prius hybrid with 113354 km. The climate control panel isn't working. There's an error stored, the heating output is low, and the AC won't switch on. Could this be a connection issue?

I had something similar happen in my Prius. The HVAC system was acting up – no heat, no AC. Have you checked the blower motor or any of the temperature sensors? Could be an electronic fault. Start with the basics before diving too deep.

Thanks! By 'basics,' do you mean just visually checking the connections to the control panel?

Visual check is a good start, but I meant more like getting a proper diagnostic done. I fiddled around for ages, thinking it was a simple fix, but eventually, I had to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. Turns out it was a faulty connection somewhere deep inside the dashboard. Save yourself the headache!

Appreciate the advice! I took it to a mechanic and they found a defective cable/plug connection, just like you suspected. Cost 95€ to repair. All working now.
