Problem solution for constantly illuminated preheating light and black smoke on BMW Diesel

Hi, I'm having a strange problem with my 2008 BMW 1 Series Diesel. The preglow light stays on all the time, black smoke is coming out of the exhaust, the engine warning light is on, the cold start takes longer and sometimes the car won't start at all. Fuel consumption is also higher than usual and the DPF regeneration is not working. I suspect that the glow plug could be the culprit, as it heats up the combustion chamber for fuel ignition during cold starts. Have any of you had similar experiences and could share tips on how to fix the problem? How did you get this solved in the workshop?

Could be due to the glow plugs or the pre-glow device (small control unit) The dpf is a consequential error as soon as engine-relevant errors are present, no dpf regeneration is started and black smoke can occur. In my opinion, replace all glow plugs immediately and make sure that they don't break off. Always turn them out intermittently (half turn out, quarter turn back in as soon as it becomes stiff and don't just carry on).
