Problem solution: Air conditioning in Ford Maverick 2004 only blows warm air

Hi folks, I've recently been having a strange problem with my Ford Maverick (built in 2004, gasoline engine). The air conditioning is only blowing out warm air. I think it might be due to the air conditioning compressor shutting down, but I'm not sure. Have any of you ever had the same problem and can give me tips on how to fix it? How did you get it sorted at the garage? Any experience is welcome! Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have had a similar problem with my 2006 Ford Escape (basically almost the same model). I have little experience of car repairs, so I ran to my garage without wasting much time. The diagnosis was "Sporadic faulty communication between control units". As a solution, I had to pay 955 euros to have it repaired. What is the exact condition of your vehicle? Maybe I can help you a bit more when I have more information.

Hey, so my Maverick has about 88765 km on the clock and the last service was about half a year ago. Kanks people any tips on what I could say or ask next time I'm at the garage? I want to make sure I'm doing everything right and not spending money unnecessarily. Thanks a lot!

Hey, I understand your concerns. I was also worried about the high repair costs. Next time, you could ask the mechanics to check if there is a problem with the refrigerant or the A/C compressor clutch. If the refrigerant has leaked, this could be the reason why your air conditioner is blowing warm air. And if the air conditioning compressor clutch is not working properly, this could be the cause of the air conditioning compressor shutting down. Maybe do some more reading, you might find something on the internet that helps. But don't worry, a good team at the workshop will certainly be able to help you. Good luck!

A lot to consider, but your advice is very helpful, thanks! I'll bring this up at the garage and see if I can find anything useful on the internet. Really great that you shared your experience with me. Hopefully it can be solved without being too expensive. Thanks again!
