Good evening, on the highway yesterday, my car went into emergency mode and could no longer accelerate. after a short stop on the hard shoulder, I was able to continue driving for a short time. When reading out the data, some errors were stored, after deleting them the error code 00A6D1 remained, in my e92 built 09. Which pump is meant by this !

Hello Fabian, this refers to the auxiliary water pump which is electrically driven. Which engine are you dealing with? For the 6-cylinder engines, this is the main cooling water pump, as these vehicles only have an electric cooling water pump.

Good evening, it is a 320d allso 4-cylinder and should be the n57 engine. Lg

Hello Fabian, ok then you are dealing with the "N47" engine because the "N57" would be the 6 cylinder diesel. Nevertheless, the auxiliary water pump is defective in this vehicle, which supports the mechanical coolant pump or enables the coolant to be circulated when the engine is switched off. If no fault can be found in the cable connections or in the plug connection of the auxiliary coolant pump, I would replace the pump myself.

Great, thank you very much for the support :)

Hello, my coolant goes from maximum to minimum in 1 day, I've been through the Carly box, and it tells me that it is the water pump on bmw e92 325d m57, is there anyone to confirm this?

If your coolant level is dropping significantly in a day, it's likely you have a leak in your cooling system. Before replacing the water pump, I would recommend checking for visible leaks. Look for puddles under the car, or white residue around the radiator, hoses, or engine. If you can't find any leaks, it's possible the water pump is failing and should be replaced. However, it's always best to have a professional mechanic inspect the issue to avoid unnecessary repairs.

I've just been to see a mechanic and he told me the cylinder head gasket was 90% safe, but at another mechanic's he said it was impossible on an m57...

Hello, It is not correct to say that a cylinder-head gasket cannot break on an M57 engine. The cylinder-head gasket can break on any engine. What test was carried out at the workshop? Was a "CO" test carried out?

Could this be caused by a bad battery? I have a bunch of electrical codes for DME as well as others that I think may be voltage related.
