Air conditioning and electronics problems in a BMW X3

I have a 2005 BMW X3 with a diesel engine and 425,000 km on the odometer. The air conditioning system doesn't turn on, and an airbag warning light is constantly illuminated. Because of this, the air conditioning, turn signals, radio, and the route planner's flip-down screen aren't working. Does anyone know what the cause of this might be?
