Hey, thanks for your answer! My Seat currently has 168659 km on it and the last service was just recently. The engine is a 2.0 TSI, i.e. a gasoline engine. I've heard about the problem with the lateral acceleration sensor before, but I didn't know it could be so expensive. Not exactly cheap, is it? I hope it won't be too expensive for me. Any other tips are of course welcome. Thanks again for your help! Best regards!

Hi, nice of you to reply! You've come a long way with your Alhambra! I think it could really be the sensor given the number of kilometers. They often just wear out after a while. The price made me swallow at first, that's for sure. But at least the problem was fixed afterwards and I was able to drive safely again. Wait and see what your garage has to say. Maybe it won't be so expensive for you, or they can even do something as a goodwill gesture. If they have to replace the sensor, make sure they give you the old one. I still have mine at home and was able to see exactly what was broken. And another tip: if the light comes on again, don't make the mistake of ignoring it. It can be really dangerous, especially if the road conditions are bad. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well. Keep us up to date! Best regards!

Hey, you've really helped me out, thanks for that! I'm definitely not going to make the mistake of ignoring the warning lights. The tip about the old sensor is also good. When the garage replaces it, I'll have them give me the old one so I can have a look at it at my leisure. I really hope that it won't be too expensive for me. I'll share my experiences here afterwards. Thanks again for all your tips! Bye and best regards!

Hello everyone, I actually had a similar problem with my Seat Altea from 2006, so I'm not a professional, but I do have some experience with cars. In my case it was also the lateral acceleration sensor/rotation rate sensor. The warning lights came on and the ABS/DSC system was also out of order. I couldn't make any sense of it at first. I then drove to my trusted garage. The guys there had a look at it and were able to confirm the fault. They then replaced the sensor as a gesture of goodwill, but had to fork out €280 for the work and parts. However, I need more information about your vehicle so that I can help you better. What kind of engine is installed and how many kilometers has your car run? Then I can probably tell you more. Best regards!
