Hi all, I have a 2010 BMW 1 with 237,000 km and I am experiencing some problems. The speedometer display is showing an incorrect temperature and when I plug in the Carly to view live engine data, it indicates the oil temp is -100 degrees, which seems very cold. I have searched Real OEM but cannot find any information on an oil temp sensor, does anyone know where this sensor is located on the BMW 123d, could this affect the combustion of the engine? I appreciate any help or advice you can offer. thanks!

Start by checking the wiring and connections to the oil temperature sensor, as a loose or damaged connection could cause incorrect readings. The sensor is typically located near the oil filter housing. If the connections are secure, the sensor itself might be faulty and may need replacement. Incorrect oil temperature readings can affect engine performance, so it's important to address this issue. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
