Hey, thanks for your reply. Well, the thing is that the windshield wipers just stopped working without any previous signs. No unusual noises or anything. It sort of happened overnight after the car had its recent service at a mileage of 75170 km. I was just a bit surprised because I've never had any problems with the windshield wipers before. But I suspect the garage just missed something. Maybe I should visit them again and have them check whether it really is the relay. 375 euros for the repair is not exactly cheap, but if that solves the problem, I would have no problem paying it. Thanks again for the tip!

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here for! Yes, that sounds really strange, especially if everything was fine before. I can well understand your annoyance with the workshop. The relay thing is just my guess, based on my own experience. I would definitely advise you to have it checked again by the garage. Maybe it was just a one-off problem or a minor issue that they overlooked. However, if the problem persists and it really is the relay, a repair would of course be unavoidable. Sure, it's expensive, but safety first, right? And remember, a working windshield wiper is very important, especially now in the fall! So you'd better get someone who knows how to do it to take a look. Good luck with it and let us know how it turns out!

Hello, thank you for taking the time to help me! I figured the problem might be more complicated than expected. Your comments seem to make perfect sense and I will definitely visit the garage and have it checked. You're right, safety first and a working windshield wiper system is actually essential, especially now that the weather is getting worse. 375 euros is a lot of money, but in the end it's worth it if it means my car works properly again. Thanks for the words of encouragement too, I really appreciate it! I will definitely keep you posted on how everything turns out. Thanks again for the help!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Opel Corsa, built in 2013. I'm more the type with some experience, but nothing professional. At my garage, they replaced a relay because it was defective. The repair cost me 375.0 euros. That solved the problem and the warning messages on the dashboard are gone. Could you say a bit more about the symptoms? Did the problem develop slowly or did it occur suddenly? Did the car make any noticeable noises before? Every detail could be helpful to analyze your problem in more detail and help you further.
