Problems with Renault Clio 2016: Flickering lights, warnings and suspected software error

Hello everyone, I have a tricky question regarding my Renault Clio (built in 2016, petrol engine). I've recently noticed a few strange symptoms: the lights are flickering, the speedometer is warning me and nothing is actually running as usual. I suspect that the installed vehicle software may be to blame. Has anyone ever had similar experiences or does anyone know the problem? I would be particularly interested to know how you got the matter resolved in the workshop. Any information helps! Thanks in advance.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Renault Megane (built in 2014). I'm not a car expert, but I do have a bit of experience with cars. My engine control unit was faulty. I went to the garage and they replaced it with a new one. That cost me around 1000 euros. But since then the lights have stopped flickering and the speedometer no longer warns me. Can you perhaps give me a little more information about your car? For example, how many kilometers has your Clio run and when was the last time you had it checked? This could help to pinpoint the problem more precisely.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply and your help. My Clio now has 31185 kilometers on the clock and it's been a while since the last service. With your tip, I'll see what they say at the garage. It costs a bit, but safety first. See you around!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! With the number of kilometers, it could well be the engine control unit. I would definitely have the garage take a look. And yes, it can cost something, unfortunately. But you're absolutely right, safety always comes first. I hope that your problem can be solved quickly and as cheaply as possible. Fingers crossed! Let me know when you have any news. I'd be interested to see what comes of it. Have a safe journey and all the best!
