Problems with the gasoline engine of a 2016 Opel Mokka: Black smoke, long cold start time and uneven engine running

Hey guys, I recently bought a 2016 Opel Mokka, but somehow it doesn't run smoothly with a gasoline engine. I get black smoke from the exhaust when accelerating, the check engine light is permanently on, the cold start time takes forever, the engine power has decreased and the engine runs rough. I also have the feeling that it jerks a bit when accelerating. Sometimes it won't start at all and sometimes it simply stalls when idling and vibrates when stationary. I suspect that the mixture preparation is not right. Has anyone had similar problems and can give any tips? I am particularly interested in how you solved this problem in the workshop and what your experiences were. Thanks in advance!

I have an 2012 Opel zafira 1,4l gasoline engine with fault code P0171. We have checked for vacuum leaks and tried a new lambda sensor. The car has been stationary for 2-3 years prior to this. Don't know if the code was there before that. Any idea how to fix this?

Hello Simon, I have an Astra J with the same problem P0171. I have replaced the mass airflow sensor and the charcoal canister purge valve, and additionally added Liqui Moly to the fuel tank. If replacing the fuel pump and filter is successful, the problem will probably be solved.

If you've already replaced the mass airflow sensor and the charcoal canister purge valve, consider checking the intake manifold gasket for leaks, as this can also cause a lean condition. Additionally, inspect the oxygen sensors for proper function. Let us know if you need further assistance or if you find a solution!
