Problems with VW Phaeton Diesel 2004: Black smoke, engine light, loss of power and high fuel consumption

Hello everyone, I have problems with my VW Phaeton Diesel, year of manufacture 2004. Recently there is black smoke when accelerating, the engine light is on, the engine switches itself off, loss of power, uneven engine running, jerking when accelerating, high fuel consumption, strong exhaust smell and stalling when idling. I suspect that the fuel volume regulator may be defective. Have any of you ever had a similar problem and can give me some troubleshooting tips?
