Punto oil temperature sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Fiat Punto owner experienced an issue with the engine oil temperature sensor warning light and a flickering oil pressure light. The suspected cause was a bad cable or plug connection. After consulting with another Punto owner who had similar issues, it was suggested to check the sensor and connections. The problem was resolved by repairing a defective cable and plug connection at a workshop.

Thanks! I haven't checked the sensor yet, just the wiring. What was your issue exactly? Was it the sensor?

Yeah, for me it was a faulty connection too. In the end I just took it to the shop. Probably best to get it checked professionally. Save yourself a headache.

Thanks for the advice! I took the Punto to a workshop. You were right, it was a defective cable and plug connection. The repair cost me about 95€. Everything is working again!

Hey, I think I might know what's going on. I have a Punto too, although I'm not sure about the year. I had similar symptoms a while back. Did you check the sensor itself?
