Thanks for that detailed response about your GT power window repair. The symptoms do sound very similar to what I am experiencing with my Q4. The error code and complete silence from the window mechanism really match up. Did you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the full repair? Also curious if you had any issues with the window track or other door panel components since getting it fixed?

Had the repair done last week and glad I did. The window control issue was exactly what the diagnostic suggested, a faulty window regulator combined with some electrical problems. Total cost came to 200 Euro which covered both parts and labor. Since the fix, the window mechanism has been working perfectly. No issues with the window track or other components in the door panel. The automotive repair shop did a thorough check of the entire power window system while they had the door apart. They confirmed the window motor and all other parts were in good condition, it was just the regulator and some wiring that needed attention. The smooth operation now makes me wish I had addressed the window control problem sooner. If your symptoms match what I experienced, getting it checked sooner rather than later might save you from more extensive repairs down the line.

Finally figured out what to do and took it to a certified EV shop yesterday. They diagnosed the exact same problems you mentioned, bad window regulator motor and some electrical issues in the door panel. Total repair cost was 480 Euro, bit more than yours but included a full check of all power windows. Really glad I checked here first instead of going back to my regular mechanic. The shop confirmed the window mechanism needed special attention due to the electronic systems. All windows working perfectly now and no more error codes showing up. Good to have it sorted before winter hits.

When my 2020 Audi e-tron GT had similar symptoms, the issue turned out to be more complex than just a faulty switch. The complete silence when pressing the switches pointed to an electrical problem rather than a mechanical one. The main issue was traced to a failed window regulator motor and damaged wiring in the door panel. The power window control module had also stopped communicating properly with the car window system. This required removing the door panel to access and replace both the regulator motor and repair the wiring harness. The window track was inspected during the repair and showed normal wear. The symptoms you describe, complete non-response and error code, match what happened with my vehicle. This is typically a serious repair that requires specialized diagnostic equipment to properly identify the root cause. For your Q4 e-tron, recommend having it checked at a shop that specializes in automotive repair for electric vehicles, as the window systems are integrated with the vehicles electronic architecture. The combination of no sound and error code often indicates an electrical rather than mechanical failure. Worth noting that postponing the repair could lead to additional complications with the power window system.
