Thanks for sharing that experience. My car started showing the exact same symptoms last year, sluggish air flow and delayed engine response when hitting the gas. I was convinced it was the throttle body too but turned out the air intake manifold was partially clogged, creating poor engine idling and performance issues. Did you keep track of the total replacement cost for your pedal module repair? Just curious how it compares since I paid around 850 Euro for my fix including labor. Also wondering if youve had any other issues pop up since getting it sorted?

Thanks for asking about the costs. After getting the accelerator pedal module fixed at the shop, all the throttle sensor issues and delayed responses completely cleared up. The total came to 265 Euro including parts and labor, quite a bit less than your air intake manifold repair. The car runs perfectly smooth now with proper engine idling and no more limp mode episodes. The fuel efficiency also improved noticeably after the fix. It has been running strong for several months with no other related problems showing up. The repair was definitely worth it since these pedal module failures can sometimes be misdiagnosed as more expensive throttle body issues. Having the right diagnostic tools made all the difference in pinpointing the exact problem with the air flow and throttle response.

I took my car to the shop last week after our discussion. Really glad I did because the mechanic found exactly what you mentioned, a faulty accelerator pedal module. The check engine light had me worried it would be something major, but the fix was straightforward. Total repair came to 280 Euro which seems fair compared to your cost. The shop had to order the part which took 2 days, but the actual repair only took about an hour. Since getting it fixed, the throttle response is back to normal and the engine runs much smoother with better fuel efficiency. No more sluggish acceleration or limp mode issues. Definitely learned my lesson about not waiting too long when these symptoms first appear. Thanks for helping me avoid what could have been a much more expensive repair if the air intake system had been damaged from running it too long with issues.

Having experienced similar response delay symptoms on my 2015 Audi A6 3.0 TFSI, I can relate to this situation. The check engine light combined with power loss often indicates a throttle sensor malfunction or air intake issues. When my car showed these symptoms, the throttle body was actually fine, the problem was traced to a faulty accelerator pedal module. The main signs were inconsistent throttle response and the car occasionally going into limp mode during acceleration. The repair turned out to be quite serious since the issue affected overall engine management and fuel efficiency. The fix required replacing the entire pedal module assembly and recalibrating the throttle position sensors. This was not a quick fix as the computer systems needed complete reprogramming after component replacement. Given your symptoms match closely with my experience, I suggest having the accelerator pedal module tested before assuming throttle body issues. The mileage on your vehicle is in the range where these electronic components commonly start showing wear. A proper diagnosis using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools is essential, as generic scanners might not detect the subtle variations in pedal sensor signals.
