Thanks for the response. Could you elaborate on the location of the air suspension pump relay and fuse within the Nissan Qashqai? Also, concerning the sound of the pump, under normal circumstances, would its operation be readily audible, or is it typically a subtle hum? I want to investigate these.

No worries, happy to help where I can. Honestly, I'm not sure exactly where the relay and fuse are on the Qashqai – you'd have to check your owner's manual or maybe a Qashqai-specific forum. As for the pump sound, you should definitely be able to hear it, especially when the car is first started and the system is trying to level itself. If you can't hear anything, and you've checked the fuse and relay, I'd say take it to a workshop and have them check all the suspension components. They'll have the proper diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem.

I brought the vehicle to a trusted workshop for diagnosis. The issue was indeed a defective cable connection to the air suspension compressor, as I suspected. The repair was done for 95€, restoring the vehicle.

I feel your pain! Had something similar with my old BMW 5 series. The air suspension just gave up. Started with a slight lean, then bam, the whole thing went down. It turned out to be a faulty air suspension pump. Did you check the pump relay and fuse? That's the easiest thing to rule out first. Also, can you hear the pump running when you start the car? If not, that's a pretty good sign it's kaput. It could also be a leak in one of the air struts, but that usually causes a more gradual drop in ride height.
