Qashqai Height Control Restricted Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Nissan Qashqai displayed a 'height control restricted' warning, with symptoms including uneven vehicle height and a bumpier ride. The issue was traced to the height adjustment system, specifically a defective control rod on the leveling sensor. The recommended solution was to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired at a workshop, which resolved the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked the leveling sensors yet. Where are they located, and is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

They are usually attached to the suspension arms. Given your symptoms, it's very likely that the control rod on the sensor is defective. However, without proper tools you may be unable to diagnose it further. I recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. When I had the issue, the defective control rod was the problem, and they sorted it out quickly.

Appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop as you suggested. The repair ended up costing 110€, and a defective control rod on the sensor was indeed the issue.

That sounds very familiar! I had almost the exact same problem with my Qashqai. Same symptoms – the warning light, uneven height, and the uncomfortable ride. It definitely points to an issue with the height adjustment system. Have you checked the leveling sensors?
