Did your Qashqai exhibit all those symptoms simultaneously? Did the error memory store a corresponding error code? I'm trying to see if our experiences match.

Yes, all those symptoms occurred at the same time. The error memory definitely stored a steering system error code. I'd recommend a workshop visit. They can check the steering system, steering rack, and related components to diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the help. Based on your input, I took it to a workshop. It was a defective cable connection, and the repair cost 95€.

I own a Qashqai and have had similar issues: vibrating steering, spongy handling, and the error message. Have you checked your wheel alignment? It could also be low hydraulic fluid or a failing steering pump. A defective cable or plug is plausible.
