Qashqai tire pressure sensor fault

My 2017 Nissan Qashqai with a gasoline engine is showing a tire pressure sensor fault after 171232 km. I'm getting a persistent 'Tire pressure too low' warning, an error message on the speedometer, and an error code stored. I'm guessing the sensor battery is dead. Any thoughts before I replace the sensor?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had almost the EXACT same thing happen last year with my Renault Megane. 'Low tire pressure' nagged me constantly, even though I checked and double-checked the pressure. Drove me bonkers!

Interesting. Did your Megane have the exact same symptoms? How was it resolved?

Yep, pretty much the same. Error message wouldn't go away no matter what I did. Eventually, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a dead sensor battery. Replacing the sensor fixed it. Save yourself the headache and get it checked out!

Thanks for sharing. I'll consult a technician about the sensor. The estimated cost for replacement is about 280€.
