Quest air conditioning problem
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Nissan Quest is experiencing an air conditioning issue where the system fails to cool or activate. The fuses have been checked and appear fine. A potential cause could be a faulty pressure switch, which can prevent the AC from turning on. It is advised to consult a professional mechanic to inspect the pressure switch and valves, as the AC system is complex and tampering with it could lead to further damage.

The pressure switch? Where is that located, and is there an easy way to check it? I'm not very mechanically inclined, so I'm hoping it's something simple I can handle.

Well, I am not a mechanic, but from my experience, it is best to take it to the shop. The pressure switch on my Quest was indeed the culprit, but I wouldn't recommend messing around with the AC system yourself. It's a sealed system, and you could end up doing more harm than good. In my case, it turned out to be some faulty valves in the AC, which cost me around 1000€ to fix.

Thanks for the advice! I suspected it might be something more complicated. I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the pressure switch and valves. Knowing what to look for helps a lot. I appreciate your help!

Oh no, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Quest (not sure of the year right now). Have you checked the pressure switch? Sometimes a faulty switch can prevent the AC from kicking on at all. AC systems can be sensitive.
