That's interesting. I'm not sure exactly when it was last changed; I bought it used a while back. Is it possible for overdue oil to cause oil pressure issues, like you experienced?

Yep, that's exactly what happened to me! Gunked-up oil can't lubricate properly, leading to low oil pressure and potential engine damage. Best bet is to take it to a workshop, get them to check it out and give you an oil change. Don't drive it too much until then!

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop today, and you were spot on. They said the oil was indeed contaminated due to an exceeded maintenance interval. They did a full oil change, and the oil pressure light is now gone. The total cost was 165€. Really appreciate the advice!

Sounds like you might have oil contamination. Had a similar thing happen with my old Renault Megane. The oil looked like black coffee. How long has it been since your last oil change? Could be that the maintenance interval was exceeded.
