Radar sensor malfunction on Skoda Yeti

Alright, anyone else had this? Got a 2009 Skoda Yeti, gasoline engine, done 120732 km, and now the radar sensor's throwing a hissy fit. Error message on the dash, error stored in the memory, systems failing all over the shop, and a warning light staring at me. Any ideas?

Whoa, sounds like a right pain! I had something similar happen with my old Octavia, although it wasn't the radar sensor, but another automotive sensor. Is it affecting your collision avoidance or adaptive cruise? Maybe it's just a dirty radar sensor? I'd check that first before panicking.

Cheers for the reply! Dirty radar sensor, eh? Where exactly is that located? And is it easy enough to get to? I'm no mechanic, mind you.

Yeah, a dirty sensor can cause havoc with these systems. The radar sensor is usually behind the front bumper, somewhere in the middle. If you're not comfortable fiddling with it, honestly, just pop it into a workshop. They'll probably check the radar calibration too, while they're at it.

You were spot on! Turns out the radar sensor was just covered in grime. Gave it a good clean myself, and the error's gone. Everything's working again! Cost me 45€ for the cleaner. Cheers for the advice!
