Rain Light Sensor Fault

Anyone seen this on a 2021 Toyota SupraIV with a gasoline engine? Mileage is 32563 km. I've got a rain-light sensor fault. Symptoms are: error stored in the error memory, no automatic wiping mode in the rain, no automatic headlight control, no function of the speedometer dimming and the lights switch on. Suspect bubbles forming under the gel pad of the windshield.

Dude, I had something similar on my SupraIV! Was driving me nuts. Did it start happening after a really hot day or a sudden temp change? Is it intermittent, or constant? Any other weird electrical stuff going on?

Yeah, it was after a heat wave. It's pretty constant now. Nothing else electrical that I've noticed yet. You think it's the gel pad thing then?

Sounds very familiar. Mine was the gel pad for sure. Others have said the same. Honestly, I'd just get it checked. Don't mess with the sensor yourself.

Cheers. Got it to the workshop; it was exactly that. Invoice for 62€, all in.
