Ranger electrical issues

I'm having some electrical issues with my 2023 Ford Ranger gasoline engine, mileage 241459 km. Sporadic errors occur while driving, with error lamps lighting up intermittently. The audio/navigation systems often fail, and control units temporarily shut down or become unresponsive. Diagnostic scans reveal stored errors. I suspect a defective cable connection to the BUS system of the control unit. Has anyone encountered similar problems?

Whoa, that sounds eerily familiar. I've got a Ranger too (though, a bit older), and I went through something similar last year. Random warning lights, the whole infotainment system going haywire, like it was possessed. Was the error message related to a specific module, like the BCM or PCM, or was it more generic?

The error codes are varied, implicating different modules at different times. No single module seems to be consistently at fault. The errors seem to be related to a loss of communication rather than a specific component failure. Could your issue have been similar, and was it indeed related to the CAN BUS?

Yep, sounds like the same circus I had. Turned out to be a flaky connection in the wiring harness. I chased it for weeks! Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a reputable shop with experience in Ford electrical gremlins. They'll have the right tools and diagrams to pinpoint the break. The repair costed me around 155€.

Thank you for confirming the similarity and recommending a professional diagnosis. Based on your experience, I will schedule an appointment with a qualified technician to inspect the wiring harness and BUS system connections. Hopefully, that will address the issue and resolve the intermittent system failures.
