Ranger ignition issue

Sounds familiar. I had similar problems with my Ranger. Is the key turn normal? Does it crank at all when it doesn't start? Could be a defective fuse.

Key turn feels normal, yeah. Sometimes it cranks, sometimes nothing at all. Where would I find the fuse you mentioned?

Fuse box is usually under the hood or inside the cabin. But honestly, with those symptoms, especially the shutting off while driving, I'd get it checked out by a workshop. Could be more than just a fuse.
