RAV4 Hybrid NOx Sensor Failure

Has anyone seen this before? My 2019 Toyota RAV4 hybrid is throwing a check engine light. I pulled the codes and it points to a NOx sensor failure. Mileage is at 117265 km. I've noticed a slight exhaust leak as well. I suspect a bad connection somewhere in the cable or plug.

Interesting. I have a RAV4 hybrid too, and I had a similar issue not too long ago. Check engine light, same error code. Did you notice any change in your fuel economy or how the engine runs?

Fuel economy seems normal to me. Engine is running just fine. Where was the issue located in your case? Was it the sensor itself or the wiring?

Alright, economy should be worse if the sensor fails completely. In my case, they checked the sensor first. Then they did some measurements and found out that the sensor was actually okay. Apparently the cable was defective. I’d suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed before replacing anything. In the end, the repair cost me around 95€.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. Hopefully, it's just a loose connection or a faulty wire like yours. Much appreciated.
