RC rear ventilation flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Lexus RC Hybrid experienced issues with the rear ventilation flap, leading to climate control errors and inadequate cooling for rear passengers. The problem was suspected to be related to the flap actuator. A faulty connector on the actuator was identified as the cause. After replacement, the air conditioning functioned correctly again.

Thanks, that's helpful! Where exactly would I find the wiring harness and connectors for the rear ventilation flap actuator? Is it easily accessible, or do I need to remove interior panels to get to it?

You'll likely need to remove some of the rear interior panels to access the actuator and its wiring. I don't have the exact diagrams for your RC, but it's usually behind the rear seats or in the side panels. If you're not comfortable with that, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. A damaged connector can sometimes mess up the CAN bus system.

Thanks for the advice! I checked as much as I could, but ended up taking it to the shop. Turns out, it was indeed a defective connector on the flap actuator. They replaced it, and the AC is working perfectly again. The total repair cost was 95€.

Sounds like a classic rear HVAC issue. The ventilation flap controls airflow to the back. Since you mention an error code and cooling problems, a faulty cable or plug connection is definitely plausible. Have you checked the wiring harness and connectors for any obvious damage or corrosion? Sometimes a simple visual inspection can reveal the problem.
