RCZ AC failure

My 2013 Peugeot RCZ diesel AC has completely given up. It's blowing warm air, and the system doesn't even seem to be switching on. The car has 236271 km on the clock. I've checked the fuses, and the blower motor seems fine, but I suspect it might be something more complicated. Any ideas? Could it be a refrigerant leak, or maybe the pressure switch is faulty?

I had a similar issue with my RCZ a while back. The symptoms you describe sound eerily familiar. Did you notice any strange AC noise before it failed? Have you tried fiddling with the temperature control settings to see if there's any change whatsoever? For me, it turned out to be a defect with some of the valves related to the AC. It's a pain!

Thanks for the quick response! No strange noises that I can recall, and I've tried every temperature setting imaginable. When you say 'valves,' do you mean the expansion valve or something else entirely? How did you diagnose it, and was it an expensive fix?

Okay, no weird noises is good info. As for the valves, from memory, it wasn't the expansion valve. I'm not 100% sure which specific valves were the culprits, but it was diagnosed by a mechanic using pressure testing equipment. The best thing to do is take it to a garage with proper diagnostic tools. I'm almost certain you have the same issue I had. I hate to say it, but the repair cost me around 1000€.

Thanks a lot for your help and for sharing your experience! Looks like I'll be booking it in with a trusted mechanic to run some diagnostics. I was hoping it would be something simple, but I suppose these things happen. Thanks again!
