RCZ Engine Misfire
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Peugeot RCZ with a gasoline engine is experiencing rough running, stalling at idle, jerky acceleration, and an illuminated check engine light, suggesting a potential ignition system issue. The problem is identified as a misfire on cylinder 3, likely caused by a faulty ignition coil or its connection. The solution involves replacing the ignition coil and its connecting cable, which resolves the issue and restores smooth engine performance.

Yes, it's reporting a misfire on cylinder 3. When you had that coil pack issue, did it throw the same code? Did it happen all the time, or just intermittently? Was there anything else that pointed you towards the coil pack specifically?

Misfire on cylinder 3 definitely points to the ignition coil. Symptoms were pretty much identical. Started intermittently, then got progressively worse. I’d say go to your local mechanic, it is probably the ignition coil but I can't tell for sure remotely. For me it was the ignition coil connection.

OK, I followed your suggestion and went to the workshop. As you said, it was the cable that connects to the ignition coil. They replaced the ignition coil and the connecting cable, and now everything is running smoothly again. The bill came to around 95€ Thanks for the help!

Rough running and a check engine light? Sounds familiar. I've got an RCZ as well. I had similar symptoms a while back. First thing I'd look at is the coil pack, they're known to give trouble. Have you scanned for any error codes yet? That'll point you in the right direction before you start tearing things apart.
