RCZ Oil Pressure Warning

Good shout! I haven't checked the actual pressure gauge, just trusted the dash light. Where is the oil pressure gauge usually located, and how difficult is it to access? Also, did your issue involve similar scary engine noises?

Mine doesn't have a physical gauge; I meant using an OBD reader to get a live reading. And yeah, the noises were a real head-turner - like a bag of spanners being shaken about. Honestly, given the symptoms, I'd bite the bullet and get it to a workshop pronto. Could be a failing oil pump, and running it like that could cause serious damage.

Cheers for the advice! Turns out you were spot on. Took it to the workshop, and it WAS the oil pump. A new one, plus labor, set me back 755€, but at least the grumpy badger is gone, and the RCZ is purring again. I'll be keeping a closer eye on the oil pressure from now on!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar scare with my RCZ. Did you check the oil pressure gauge itself, if you have one? Those loud noises are worrying, could be starvation. I'd also check for any obvious oil leakage, just in case.
