RCZ Seat Heater Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Peugeot RCZ has a driver's side seat heater that is unresponsive, with no dashboard warnings but an error code indicating a fault. The suspected cause is the seat heating mat itself. It is suggested to first check the fuses and wiring connections under the seat to rule out simpler issues. If the problem persists, replacing the heating mat, preferably by a professional, is recommended as it resolved a similar issue for another owner.

Good call on the fuses and wiring! I checked, but maybe not thoroughly enough. Did your issue present suddenly, or was it a gradual decline? Did you replace the heating mat yourself, or go to a shop?

Mine failed completely and suddenly. Given the hassle of integrating the new heating element and potential seat damage, I let a workshop handle it. They confirmed it was the heating mat, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Thanks! Sounds like I'm facing the same thing. I'll let the pros handle this. They quoted around 390€, which stings a bit, but sounds reasonable. Appreciate the advice!

I had a similar experience with my RCZ. Same symptoms – no heat, error code. I'd guess it's the heating element. Before tearing into it, have you checked the fuses and wiring connections under the seat? Rule out the simple stuff first.
