Thanks for the quick reply When you say wiring harness, are you referring to the connector inside the door panel or the one directly attached to the rearview mirror itself And no idea about the error code I will have to get it read again

Yeah, the one directly behind the car mirror Usually water gets in there and corrodes the pins If that looks okay, then it is probably a trip to the workshop to read the error code They can pinpoint it and voltage test the circuit Could still be a faulty connection, but could also be a defective heating element which means mirror replacement

Thanks so much for the information I took it to my mechanic, and you were right, it was a corroded connector behind the driver's side mirror They cleaned it up and applied some dielectric grease, and it is working perfectly now The error code confirmed the driver's side issue Total cost was exactly what I expected too

Mirror heating problems are the worst in winter I had something similar happen in my AMG GT Check the wiring harness where it connects to the mirror assembly It is a common spot for corrosion or a loose connection Is the error code for the driver's side or passenger side mirror or both
