Thanks for the quick response! I will check the cable and plug. Where exactly is it located on the engine, and is there anything specific I should look for besides loose connections or obvious damage?

It's typically mounted on the intake manifold, close to the turbocharger itself. Look for any signs of corrosion on the connector pins, or frayed wires leading into the plug. Give the wires a gentle wiggle while the engine is running (carefully!) to see if the engine note changes. But honestly, given the symptoms, I'd advise a professional diagnosis. This could be a simple fix, but without proper tools, you're chasing ghosts.

Thanks for your help! I checked the connection, and it seemed okay, so I took it to a local garage. They confirmed it was a faulty connection and replaced it. Cost me 95€. Runs like a dream now!

Sounds like a potential turbo system issue, or a vacuum leak somewhere. That whistling/hissing is a classic symptom. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the boost pressure sensor itself? That's often the culprit, similar to a loose spark plug wire causing misfires.
