Renault Master Crankcase Ventilation Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Master diesel is experiencing a check engine light, reduced engine power, and smoke during acceleration, suspected to be due to a crankcase ventilation valve issue. Similar symptoms, including rough idling and potential oil leaks around the valve cover, suggest a problem with the PCV valve. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected and repaired by a professional mechanic.

Rough idling sometimes, yeah. Where exactly was the leak on your Trafic?

Can't recall the exact spot, but it was definitely around the valve cover area. To be honest, I just took it to a workshop. Probably best to do the same. Cost me around 360€, I'm afraid.

Thanks for the help! I'll take it to a mechanic then. Seems like the crankcase ventilation is indeed defective.

Hey, I had something similar on my Renault Trafic. Is it leaking oil or idling rough? Could be the PCV valve. I remember a weird smell too. Check that ventilation.
