Renault Master immobilizer fault
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Renault Master diesel is experiencing immobilizer issues, where the engine either fails to start or starts briefly before cutting out, with an error memory indicating an immobilizer fault. The problem is suspected to be due to incorrect key programming, as indicated by a rapidly flashing security light. The suggested solution is to take the vehicle to a workshop with Renault diagnostic tools for key reprogramming, which successfully resolved the issue.

Yes, the security light is flashing rapidly. What did you end up doing to fix yours?

Rapid flashing security light definitely sounds like the same immobilizer fault I had. I strongly recommend taking it to a workshop with Renault diagnostic tools. They should be able to reprogram your key or diagnose any deeper issues with the immobilizer system.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a shop, and they were able to reprogram the key for 45€. Problem solved!

I had a similar issue with my Master. Does the security light flash rapidly when you try to start it? It could also be a problem with the ignition control module.
