Renault Master MAF Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Renault Master diesel is experiencing higher fuel consumption, engine stalling at idle, a check engine light, and smoke during acceleration, suggesting a potential mass air flow (MAF) sensor issue. These symptoms align with a faulty MAF sensor affecting the air-fuel ratio. A professional diagnosis confirmed the MAF sensor was the problem, and replacing it resolved the issues, improving the vehicle's performance.

Yeah, mileage has definitely gone down. How did you figure out it was the MAF sensor, and what did you do about it?

I didn't figure it out myself, a mechanic did. Based on the symptoms and after running some diagnostics, he said the MAF sensor was faulty, messing with the air-fuel ratio. Honestly, I'd get it checked out by a professional. Could save you a headache.

Thanks! I took it to a workshop and you were right, it was the MAF sensor. Cost me 365€ to get it replaced. Runs much better now!

Sounds familiar! I had similar problems with my Master. Check engine light, rough idling, the whole shebang. Could very well be the MAF sensor. Has your mileage taken a hit too?
