Wiring harness? Electrical connectors? Whereabouts are they exactly? I’m not mechanically minded. What am I looking for?

The wiring harness is basically the bunch of wires that supply power and signals to the climate control unit. The connectors are the plugs that attach the harness to the unit. Unless you are comfortable with electrics, I would take it to a workshop. Faulty electrics can cause a lot of damage!

Yeah, you're probably right. I'll book it in. They suspect a defective cable or plug connection and quoted around 95€, so hopefully it's a straightforward fix. Thanks for your help!

Sounds frustrating! Power supply issues can be tricky. Have you checked the wiring harness and the electrical connectors to the climate control panel itself? Sometimes those connections can corrode or come loose. It's always the annoying little things!
