Renault Wind fuel flap issue

I'm quite annoyed! I have a 2011 Renault Wind with a gasoline engine. The fuel flap release isn't working. I get an error stored, and I can't lock or unlock the fuel filler flap. Some other functions seem unavailable too! Any ideas? I checked the fuses, and they seem fine.

Ugh, sounds familiar! I have a Wind as well, and I had a similar problem last year. Is your key fob working alright? Mine was acting up around the same time. Have you tried the cable release, if your car has one?

Thanks for the tip! Yes, the key fob seems to work fine for the doors. Where exactly is this cable release you're talking about? I haven't had a look yet, I'm still fuming from the fact I can't get fuel!

Okay, if the key fob is fine, then it might be something else. The cable release should be in the trunk, usually behind a panel. Honestly, after fiddling with it for ages, I ended up taking it to a workshop. Turned out to be a defective linkage, and it cost me around 210€.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Sounds like I'm heading to the shop then. Really appreciate the help; at least I know what to expect now.
