Ridgeline transfer case limp mode

Alright, I'm pulling my hair out here! My 2020 Honda Ridgeline with the gasoline engine is throwing me for a loop. I've got 178943 km on the clock, and it's decided to go into transfer case limp mode. The gearbox is slipping and shifting all kinds of uncleanly. I've been doing some digging, and it sounds like it could be consequential faults from the ABS system messing things up. Anyone else seen this before? I'm dreading what the repair bill might be. I am suspecting the torque converter, but I am not sure. Any pointers would be very appreciated.

Woah, that sucks man. I had a similar problem with my Ridgeline. Limp mode is the worst. Did you pull any fault codes? Maybe it's something with the gear selector?

Yeah, limp mode is a pain. I will have to pull the codes to see whats up. You mention having a similar issue. Was it also the transfer case? And what did it end up being? Was the limp home active?

Yeah, the limp home was active and it was similar behaviour. Honestly, I never figured it out. I just took it to the shop and let them deal with it. Best of luck!
