Rifter cold start issue and fuel consumption

Hi, I'm experiencing a weird issue with my 2020 Peugeot Rifter diesel. It's got only 16447 km on the clock. Lately, the engine runs poorly in the cold start phase. I also found an error stored in the error memory, and I've noticed higher fuel consumption. After some digging, I suspect it's the PTC heater. Could a defective electric auxiliary heater really cause all these symptoms? Anyone else had a similar experience?

Rifter owner here! Sounds familiar... does the air from the blower motor feel cold when it should be warm? I had a similar issue a while back. I didn't check the error codes like you did, but the symptoms sound about right.

Interesting! So, you had poor running and higher fuel consumption alongside the cold air issue? Was it a sudden thing, or did it gradually get worse? How did you end up fixing it?

Yep, all of the above! Gradual at first, then bam! Really noticeable fuel hit. I never got around to properly diagnosing it myself. Eventually, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They confirmed my suspicions – definitely the PTC heater. Cost me around 350€.
